Russia and china developed important additions to standards in the field of aviation

ST. PETERSBURG, October 15, 2019 - The 8th meeting of the special working group on standardization of the Russian-Chinese Subcommittee on cooperation in the field of civil aviation and civil aircraft industry was held in St. Petersburg on October 11-12 under the chairmanship of Deputy Head of the Federal Agency on Technical Regulation and Metrology (Rosstandart) Anton Shalaev from the Russian side and the Deputy Head of the Standardization Administration of the People's Republic of China Baozhong Gu from the Chinese side.
The meeting was attended by over 30 experts. From the Russian Federation, the meeting was attended by representatives of Rosstandart, the Union of Russian Aircraft Manufacturers, PJSC United Aircraft Corporation, JSC Russian Helicopters, Federal State Budgetary Institution National Research Center “Institute named after N.E. Zhukovsky“, FSUE "TsAGI", JSC "Sukhoi Civil Aircraft", JSC "Moscow Helicopter Plant. M.L.Milya".
The main goal of the working group is to develop standardization issues to support the successful implementation of joint Russian-Chinese projects in the civilian aircraft industry. The task of the working group is to develop a mechanism for exchange, ensuring mutual recognition and joint development of standardization documents between China and the Russian Federation. During the meeting, in particular, the procedure for the development of joint technical documents to ensure the creation of a joint wide-body long-range aircraft was agreed.
“The main results of the next meeting of experts from Russia and China was the development of two fundamentally important additions to the current standards regarding the noise level of aircraft engines, as well as to comprehensive programs for ensuring flight safety, reliability, testability, operational and repair manufacturability. This will effectively solve the problems of creating new aviation equipment, strengthening the positions of Russia and China in the global market of passenger aircraft and helicopters", – said Anton Shalaev.  
The ceremony of signing the final protocol was held in Test St. Petersburg, which became one of the venues for the meeting. The next, ninth meeting of the working group on the proposal of the Chinese side will be held in Xian.
