ROSSTANDART SHARED THE EXPERIENCE OF DIGITALIZATION WITH COLLEAGUES FROM BRICS COUNTRIES

MOSCOW, March 2, 2020 – representatives of Rosstandart took part in the discussion of digitalization, technical regulation, standardization, Metrology, conformity assessment and accreditation at the 23rd meeting of the BRICS Contact group on trade and economic issues. The event was held on February 27 in Moscow.

Maria Pishchulina, head of the department of administrative work and external relations of Rosstandart, told about the work of the Agency and about the current state and development of the Federal state information system of Rosstandart. For example, have been created Beresta information system in the field of standardization and Arshin information system in the field of metrology. In particular, in Russia thanks to Beresta, a national standardization Program is being formed and the process of developing standards is being carried out in a digital environment, which ensures transparency, openness and elimination of duplication of work.

In addition, the parties discussed the possibility of information cooperation using the multilingual platform of the BRICS countries, which contains basic information in the field of standardization.

A representative of STANDARTINFORM also took part in the meeting from Rosstandart. The event was held in preparation for the meeting of BRICS Ministers of economy and foreign trade in Ufa on July 18, 2020 and for the XII BRICS summit in St. Petersburg on July 21-22, 2020.
